dinner, june 26th

I had Will Sheff for dinner.

I wish, whatever that means.

Actually, I had chicken strips from Cala. They sucked but it was worth it to hurry through dinner so we could see Okkervil River open for Wilco down in Saratoga. Brieanne and I were reduced to giggly school girl status during (and after) their set. He might actually be a little creepy looking, but somehow he's still one of the dreamiest guys out there.

jobe and alongi

It's no Mel's but it'll have to do for now...

bff, what?

how happy do we look?

I'm thinking, "I love Kim, and my city, and Bernal Hill, and iced coffee!"

not ice cream

I couldn't find the ice cream place, so we got pupusas instead. Actually, James got fries because he only likes American food.

dinner, june 25th

Leftovers: pasta w/ tomato cream sauce

dinner, june 24th

I'd call this my most successful tomato cream sauce to date. I think adding onions is the key.

In all my laziness I had cold tofu topped w/ a sauce of soy sauce, sesame oil and sriracha.

I hung out w/ my co-worker Jeremy and his out-of-town guest, Nick. Together we climbed up the Filbert stairway to Telegraph Hill. It was a beautiful day with beautiful views.

dinner, june 16th

This was my first attempt at making homemade bbq sauce like my mom used to make. I used her recipe, but something seemed way off. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I expected. Hrm.

dinner, june 15th

I made myself an asian inspired chicken soup. Unfortunately I can't seem to get pictures off my phone anymore. It'll be posted if I ever figure it out.

dinner, june 14th

I drove back from L.A. I was tired. I made some scrambled soy sauce eggs over rice.

dinner, june 13th

"famous" garlic chicken. This chicken is quite possibly the best chicken ever...and it's cheap. The dish also comes w/ fried plantains and buttery rice. YUM.

conrad's first mojito

Meet Conrad the monkey. He came from Teresa, but now he's mine. He likes pillows, frisbees and boba. He also discovered he likes mojitos, but that's simply because they match his color scheme.

happy hour

Vince is happy because he's at his favorite bar with cocktails and free gold fish crackers.

morning coffee and toast at the beach

Ocean beach is not a "nice" beach. Luckily, I've discovered that I love cold, grey beaches. Despite the freezing temperatures and lack of sun, Mike and Jenna felt the need to take off their shoes. Apparently that's just how it's done in southern California.

dinner, may 30th

After the pub crawl we head for some cheap eats at a taqueria.

I had dinner at Sushi Zone w/ Jason and Uyen to celebrate Jason getting into Tax law school. I have heard a lot about this place. It's small, tiny really, slow and packed. The food was really good though.
