I had no trouble slipping through the locked gates, my gigantic purse on the other hand....

Gates can't keep us out! The botanical garden is ours at night.

tacos at midnight

Ryan is wondering...."what exactly do tacos taste like at midnight?"

the mythical "hipster pho" revealed

Ryan has been telling me about *"hipster pho" in Silverlake for awhile now. He finally got the chance to take me, unfortunately it was too hot to eat.

*Note: the restaurant is made "hipster" through the use of fancy lights, orange chairs and the lack of a proper restaurant signage.

thai town

Who ever heard of "valet" -i.e. paying to park in a strip mall parking lot. So dumb. Anyhow, they have good food in Thai Town...but the parking sucks.

Night scene

so cute

...and very demanding.

jo and kala

At Joanne's house.

dinner, april 18th

I got burgers and beer with Joanne and Kim. Jo lives one block from Hollywood Blvd., so we just walked right over to 25 Degrees for burgers. The food and drinks were good, the interior was cute and I knew almost every song on their stereo. Good times.

Fortunately Beleya likes to explore as much as I do, so after the first day of the conference we headed off in search of "central" park. She thought this flower was pretty, I think this picture is cute!

We had tapas.

sea gulls

These guys were having trouble flying.

craziness

Spring break camp! Taking kids to the beach sounded like a good idea. Unfortunately, Ocean Beach is nastier than most beaches. That, coupled with a passing windstorm really made things interesting.

wind storm

This is Brandon. He is braving the storm.
